There are multiple ways that someone can support our rescue or our missions. Being a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization means that donations made to us are considered tax-deductible, whether it is a monetary donation or an in-kind donation.
We are enrolled with various charity services, such as Benevity, Walmart SparkGood, Chewy Charities, etc. You can check with your employer or HR Department if your place of business offers any benefits such as “Donation Matching” when you donate from your income to a nonprofit.
“In-Kind Donations” are contributions of non-cash gifts, such as goods/items, services provided, time, and expertise. Organizations, businesses, and even individuals can all make in-kind donations. We do have a “Gift Acceptance Policy” that outlines what is acceptable as “in-kind” donations to our rescue. This is in no way meant to limit anyone’s acts of giving, but our rescue is dedicated to avoiding waste whenever possible and ensuring donations end up where they are most needed. If you are unsure about a donation, please message us, we do also have contacts who are able to disperse donations to other needy rescues and shelters and we fully believe in paying it forward.
